Two local men to be honored as Everyday Heroes by the American Red Cross

The Pecan Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross will host an Everyday Heroes Dinner on April 22, 2010. The event will be held at the Mabee Center on the Howard Payne campus at 6:00 pm.

The speaker for the event will be Roy Spence. Everyday Heroes below will be honored. Heroes were nominated and a choice committee selected the recipients. Tickets are available through the Red Cross office at 325-646-0196. $35 each or 2 for $60. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Law Enforcement: Arthur (Ray) Riggs, San Saba Chief of Police;

Emergency Response: Bobby Wallace and Dorman Pitcox of Brady;

Educator: Michael Bohensky, Principal, San Saba Middle School;

Firefighter: John David Howard, Zephyr Volunteer Fire Department;

Military Support: Terry and Pat Way of May;

Youth Hero: Cole Gordon of Brownwood, grandson of Beth Gordon.
