Alan Dale Brown

Alan Dale Brown, 65, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Scott & White Hospital, in Temple, Texas. Alan Dale was born December 30, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, to Ted Brown, Jr. and Annabel Long Brown. He married Mitzie Riley on October 2, 1981, in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Alan Dale was a rancher and a member of the High Valley Baptist Church.

Alan Dale is survived by his wife, Mitzie Brown of Rough Creek Community; his father, Ted Brown of Rough Creek Community; his sons, Christopher Michael Brown and his wife Jennifer of Little Elm, Texas; and Joshua Alan Brown of Sonora, Texas; his daughter, Jenna Lee Brown Bronstad and her husband Troy of Jourdanton, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sterling Bronstad, Savannah Bronstad, and Caleb Brown; and his sister, Barbara Hardy and her husband Les of Red Bluff Community.

Alan Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Annabel Long Brown.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 20, 2010, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of San Saba with Brother Chris Nichols, Officiating and Rev. Robin Pearcy, Assisting. Interment will follow at the Chappel Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the High Valley Baptist Church.
