Lady Dillo Softball Report

The Lady Dillos were on the road for both games last week. On Tuesday, we traveled to Bangs, and on Friday we traveled to Brady.

Tuesday’s game against Bangs was a nail biter. Bangs jumped out to a 2 run lead in the first inning on a homerun. The Lady Dillos clamped down and didn’t allow another run. The Lady Dillos cut the lead in half in the 4th inning, 2-1. In the bottom of the 4th, Bangs added another run to make the lead 3-1. In the bottom of the 5th, Bangs added three more on three consecutive hits. This made the score 6-1. In the top of the 7th, the Lady Dillos rallied for two runs, and ended up leaving a runner on third to end the game with a final score of 6-3. Joannah Crosby went 2 for 4 with a single and a double. Tarah Crosby went 1 for 3 with an RBI single. Ashley Pulatie went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Bianca Dawson went 2 for 4 with a double and a single. Paige Faught went 1 for 2 with a single and a walk.

On Friday, we traveled to Brady to take on the Lady Bulldogs. Friday’s game ended on a sad note as an error by the Lady Dillos in the bottom of the 7th changed the outcome of the game. The game was tight the entire time, with multiple lead changes and ties. The final score was 7-6 in favor of Brady. Joannah Crosby went 1 for 3 with a triple. Tarah Crosby went 3 for 4 with a single, triple, and a homerun and 2 RBI’s. Ashley Pulatie went 1 for 4 with a single and an RBI. Paige Faught went 1 for 3 with a single. Marisela Zapata went 1 for 3 with an RBI single. Silvia Jimenez also drove in a run.

The Lady Dillos are in action again on Tuesday April 13th at Early. Hope to see you at the ballpark!
