Richland Springs F.C.C. Christian Women’s Fellowship Meeting
Thursday, April 15, 2010 • Posted April 15, 2010

On Wednesday, April 7, 2010 the members of the Richland Springs First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) CWF met for their monthly meeting in the fellowship hall of the church. Before our meal, which was served by Martha Bush, Christy Crisp, and Vicki Eden, Mary Kate Adams said a blessing over the meal and meeting.

After our meal, Georganna Sonnenberg called our business meeting to order. Vicki Eden was asked to read the minutes of the March meeting and Bobbie Adams the treasury’s report. Both reports were approved as read.

Old business discussed was the Easter activities at the church. Georganna stated that everything was very nice and thanked everyone for their involvement in all the activities.

The music, Lenten wreath readers, Palm Sunday service, the Maundy Thursday service and the Easter service were all very nice and much appreciated by all in attendance.

New business discussed: We have a fellowship dinner planned for April 25 and we planned the menu for that dinner.

Baccalaureate service has been confirmed by RSISD. That service will be at the First Christian Church on May 23, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will have a cookie and punch reception after the service in the fellowship hall. We planned Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. for a practice day for the baccalaureate service and the CWF will be providing a lunch for the seniors that day.

Georganna brought up some things that were happening within the church. The members of the First Christian Church are very proud of the Richland Springs OAP under the direction of member, Pasty Hall. We discussed the idea of sponsoring a raffle to raise funds to defray the cost of the competitions with all the funds going to the Richland Springs Drama Club.

We have also been discussing taking a trip through the Hill County to view the wildflowers. We planned that trip for Sunday, April 18, 2010 pending the availability of a bus or other means of transportation.

We were also contacted of the need of the Richland Springs Housing Authority to purchase used cook stoves. We all agreed that First Christian Church would donate our old cook stove to the Richland Springs Housing Authority. Becky McPherson made contact and that will be taken care of.

Our next meeting will be May 5, 2010. Serving at the May meeting will be Bobbie, Sue Williams and Georganna. We will plan to have a study of Dorcas at our May meeting.

After our business meeting instead of having our bible study we cleaned the stove that was donated to the church by Donna Wigley.

Attending this April meeting were Martha, Amanda Son-nenberg, Mikayla Eden, Winnie Shannon, Becky, Sue, Mary Kate, Vicki, Bobbie, Christy and Georganna.
