Wallace Hawkins

Wallace Hawkins, 76, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas. Wallace was born on September 22, 1933, at the Wallace Creek Community in San Saba County to Oscar and Beatrice Hawkins. He married Imogene Wagner on November 2, 1957, in the Zion Lutheran Church, Priddy, Texas.

Wallace worked for the U. S. Post Office and was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church.

Wallace is survived by his wife Imogene Hawkins of San Saba; two sons Randal Hawkins and his wife Rayma of San Saba; and Roland Hawkins and his wife Cindy of San Saba; one daughter, Diana Gibson and her husband Grady of Bend; and one sister, Emagene Cummings of Houston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler Hawkins, Travis Hawkins, Tanner Hawkins, Carol Gibson, Brenda Gibson, Matt Cooke, and Tanner Coursey; and one niece and one nephew.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held Sunday, April 11, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Sebesta, officiating.

Interment followed at the Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Wallace Creek Cemetery Association or to the donor’s favorite charity.
