Dillo Varsity Baseball Report
Thursday, April 1, 2010 • Posted April 1, 2010

This past week the San Saba Armadillo Varsity Baseball team played a non-district game vs. Johnson City here on Tuesday. We lost 10-5 against a good Eagle team. We had it 5-5 in the 5th and then it got away from us. We did some good things, pitched well early, put the ball in play and played good defense. In the 6th and 7th innings we did not keep those things consistent but competed real well and I was proud of the kids. On Friday we went to Comanche for our first district road contest and got beat 6-2. We pitched pretty good, but did not do well offensively or defensively. Hopefully we got the being on the road blues behind us. We play 2 district home games this week. Tuesday we play Coleman here at 4:30 and 7:00 with the JV playing first. On Thursday, we will play Dublin here with the same time schedule. The loss at Comanche puts us at 2-2 in district, with all but 1 district game on the road for the second half of district. We need to have a good week. I think we will have good weather, so come out and support us this week as we try to continue our streak of the Texas High School Playoffs. See you at the park.
