Jane Randolph was a guest at the Prairie Mountain Easter Luncheon that was held at Jean Renfro’s home in Fredericksburg last Wednesday.

Conley Hanley and Crystal Mendl hosted a Family Baby Shower for Roddy and Lindsey Maddox and Kaden at the home of Roddy and Barbara Maddox on Sunday Afternoon. Those coming to shower gifts on the new baby girl that is expected to arrive in September were Ricky and Chris Maddox and David, Mickey and Conley Hanley with Payton and Preston, Crystal and Jason Mendl, Mike and Charlotte Millican and Jill, Patti Owen and Cooper, Randy and Tammy Henderson, Jack and Rosie Huff, Barbara Grimes, Sally Hardin, and Tara Tharp.

The "Yourbucks" Relay for Life Group is selling t-shirts at the Cherokee Grocery Store to raise money for cancer research.

Maude Ann Kuykendall hosted the monthly Ladies Night Out for the ladies at the Church of Christ at her home last Thursday evening. Everyone had a great time of fun, food and fellowship. Cyndi reported that she makes the best peach tea...Le’Pera Cottage Shop will be opening in Cherokee on Tuesday, April 6. The owner is Carmen Jenkel. Le’Pera Cottage will be open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The phone number is 622-4008. Be sure and check the Shop out. Sounds great.

Jessica Ball celebrated her 8th birthday with a party at her home last Friday. Kendall Johnson from Cherokee enjoyed the party.

Josie Salinas Vargas, little sister of Ray Salinas wished to thank everyone in Cherokee for the kindness toward their family in their time of need. They will honor Ray’s request to be buried in Cherokee. There will be a Memorial Service at a later date. Josie said that Ray was always the happiest when he was in Cherokee.
