Annie Vaughn

Annie Vaughn, 97, of San Saba, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Eventide Nursing Home. She was born February 15, 1913, at Wallace Creek Community, San Saba County, Texas, to Edward Green Alexander and Biddy Donia Pittman Alexander. She married Sterling Vaughn in San Saba County on July 18, 1928. Sterling preceded her in death on March 31, 2001.

Annie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in San Saba, Texas.

Annie is survived by her sons Jack and his wife Ann Vaughn of Goldthwaite; Ronnie and his wife Rachel Vaughn of San Saba; and Billy and his wife Angie Vaughn of San Saba; her daughters, Peggy Turner and the late Dewey Turner of San Saba and Betty Myers and the late Johnny Myers of San Saba; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great-grandchilden; one great-great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter Geraldine Parker, two sons-in-law, three grandchildren, three brothers, and four sisters.

Services were held Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Partin and the Rev. Gaylon Morris officiating. Interment followed at the Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family request that memorials be made to the Wallace Creek Cemetery Association.
