When growing up, what did you do for fun? When I wasn't hoeing the garden, I would have been fishing for crawfish or playing in the play house with my sister.

What is a good piece of advice that you have for this generation? Slow down from such a fast pace and try to live within you means.

What is the motto that you live by? I try to live a clean, Christian life and tried to inspire my children growing up.

What is something that has transpired in your life that you never thought you would see? The fact that you can carry a phone with you anywhere in such a compact size and are able to execute so many different functions from one small device.

What is the modern convenience that you find most useful? The washer and dryer.

First car you ever drove? A Model A Ford. I backed it off into a deep ditch when I was learning to drive.

Where did you live while growing up? Locker, Texas then two years in Galveston.

Who has been your favorite President and why? Franklin Roosevelt. We liked him because he helped get us out of the depression.

Favorite sport to play? Volleyball and baseball, I played first base.

What is a game they played while you were growing up that they don't anymore? Mumble Pig and Jacks.

Favorite restaurant? Section Hand.

What do you look forward to most? Having a big get together with close friends and children and grandchildren.

Favorite movie star? Clark Gable.

Favorite song? How Great Thou Art.
