Cherokee Indians fall to Calvert Trojans, 6-52

In the first quarter, Calvert scored the first 3 touchdowns on running plays of 45 yards, 13 yards, and 3 yards. Then they scored the 4th touchdown of the quarter on a 43-yard pass play. Calvert's Trojans kicked 2 extra points: 1 extra point failed and 1 was blocked by Duncan Roberts. The score at the end of the first quarter was 0-28.

Calvert scored on a 2-yard run in the second quarter. Then midway through the quarter, the Indians scored on a 4-yard run by Yovane Uribe. The P.A.T. failed; 6-36 Trojans.

The Trojans scored 2 more touchdowns on runs of 18 yards and 2 yards, and their P.A.T.s were good. They elected to run the clock out instead of scoring another touchdown. The final score was 6-52, Trojans.

Friday night's game will be at Buckholts and starts at 7:30 p.m.
