The Richland Springs Coyotes improved to (2-0) in District 15 by beating the Brookesmith Mustangs by a score of 62 - 0. This game was over from the get go.

The Mustangs used ball control as much as possible to kill the clock. The Mustangs ran dives and sweeps all night long and did not make any progress against that great Coyote defense. Brookesmith ended the night with a total of (minus 9 )! This is the second week straight that the Coyote defense has held their opponent to minus total yards and no first downs! The Coyotes have been rolling right along on offense. The Coyotes scored 7 TD’s on just ten snaps of the football again Brookesmith. Tyler Ethridge increased his career passing touchdowns total to 207 as he completed 4 of 6 attempts for 142 yards. All 4 of his completions went for touchdowns! He also ran for a 39-yard score. Four different Coyotes caught TD passes from Ethridge. Mark Williams from 57 yards, Patrick Couch from 35 yards, Khalid Khatib from 30 yards, and Andrew Fowler from 20 yards. Shelby Smith ran the ball twice on the night for 89 yards with both resulting in touchdowns. Richie Daniels made seven PAT kicks for the Coyotes. This week the Coyotes will travel to Eden. The Bulldogs are 6-3 on the season and 2-1 in district play. The Bulldogs have defeated Veribest and Brookesmith, but lost to Rochelle 46-2. The Bulldogs have been averaging 36 ppg on offense and giving up 29 ppg on defense. The Coyotes have outscored their last four opponents 300-8. On the season, the Coyotes have scored a total of 508 points on offense and have only given up 62 points on defense. That averages to 73 ppg on offense and the Coyote defense is only giving 8 ppg! Not bad. The Coyotes have been blessed with no serious injuring and we hope that the team can continue to stay healthy. If you can not make the trip to Eden, you can listen to exciting live coverage of Coyote football by tuning your radio to KBAL 106.1FM or logging your computer onto www.kbalradio.com. My pick: COYOTES - 68, Eden - 0. GO COYOTES GO!
