The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met March 4, 2010 for the monthly business meeting with the following ladies present: Hattie Rogers, Bobbie Churchill, Nell McHorse, Sandee Hartley, Dorothy Sterner, and Anita Miles.

The President, Anita Miles, called the meeting to order and Hattie Rogers, the Secretary, gave the secretary’s report, although the minutes will be approved at the next meeting. The Treasurer, Bobbie Churchill, gave the financial report.

Nell McHorse introduced the request for financial assistance for the Shattered Dreams Program to be held at San Saba High School and the ladies voted unanimously to participate in this worthwhile program.

The ladies also voted unanimously to give a memorial in memory of Bobby Jack Snow, Jo Ann Snow’s husband, who passed away this past week. Jo Ann has been a long time member of the Ladies Golf Association and served in every capacity. George and Hattie Rogers, Travis and Bette Odom, Priscilla Muse, Dorothy Sterner, Pat Ribb, Nell McHorse, and Anita Miles attended the services in Early, Texas and represented the golf association. Jo Ann is greatly loved and our prayers are extended to Jo Ann and her family at this time.

The Traveling 4-Ball Chair, Sandee Hartley, announced that the March tourney will be in Georgetown on March 16, 2010.

The meeting adjourned with prayer led by the Club Chaplain, Nell McHorse. Thereafter; the Play Day Chair for March, Dorothy Sterner, called for a game of Low Putts. There was a tie for first place between Dorothy Sterner and Hattie Rogers, who each scored 33 putts. It was a beautiful day for golfing and fun in the sun! It’s great to be back out on the San Saba River Golf Course just a "swinging!"
