Mike Childers, 63, of San Saba, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, in San Saba County, Texas. Mike was born November 18, 1946, in San Saba, Texas, to Cecil Jasper Childers and Geneva Pauline Moore Childers.

Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Childers of San Saba; his son, Patrick Childers and his wife Cheryl of Burnet; his daughters, Donna McAnally and her husband Wayne of Lampasas; and Linda Reid and her husband Paul of Lampasas; his grandchildren, Brook Buttler, C. J. Childers, Justin Reid, Sean Childers, Rose McAnally, Westin Reid, Daniel McAnally, Jimmy McAnally, Amber Lockhart, John Lockhart, Kari Pegg and her husband Toney; and great-grandchildren, Derica Porter, Miyley Lockhart, Dalton Pegg, Keaton Pegg, Destynee Pegg, and Breelyn Burt. He is also survived by his brothers, Jesse Childers and his wife Jana of San saba; and Henry Childers of Clyde; and sisters, Paula Sugg of Grand Prairie; Sue Wolf and her husband Jerry of Bangs; Martha Nevers of North Richland Hills; and Judy Ray and her husband Mark of Ft. Worth.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Don Sugg.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Welton Watson officiating.

Interment followed at Wallace Creek Cemetery in San Saba County.

The family received friends on Saturday, February 27, 2010, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Howell Doran Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
