The Rotary Club of San Saba enjoyed the first meal in their new meeting location. The club will now meet at Pepperbelly’s every Thursday at noon. Club members and Pepperbelly’s owner Deryl Wayne Hoyt discussed what Rotary does in the community which includes the Annual Honor Student Banquet, The Dictionary Project and placement of both the US and Armadillo flags. Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. If you are interested in serving your neighbor next door, or around the world, please contact a local Rotarian about becoming a member of the club.
