Thursday, March 4, 2010 • Posted March 4, 2010

The Freemasons of San Saba Masonic Lodge No. 612 will hold their stated meeting on Saturday evening, March 6th. A main course meal of barbeque ribs will be provided by Past Master Douglas H. Merritt. Supper will be served at 6:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring a complimentary covered side dish, bread, salad or dessert. Lodge will open at about 7:00 p.m.

March 8th-12th is Public School week. The Worshipful Master will outline the program for the lodge to distribute the traditional book markers to the students of Cherokee and San Saba schools. Also, a date will be set for the upcoming fund-raiser project for the Lamar Medal Scholarship and Seniors Banquet. The fund-raiser traditionally takes place in March as a bake sale and fish fry.

The Worshipful Master reminds all members to bring their community service reports for the month of February and submit to the secretary. Members are encouraged to attend as this will be the official visit from the District Deputy Grand Master, Gary Farley, of the 70th Masonic District.
