The track teams qualified three individuals for the region 4 meet at Huntsville this weekend. Sara Perry will compete in the long jump, Miguel Rocha in the 2 mile run, and Hector Jimenez in the 400m run. The girl’s and boy’s tennis and golf teams did not qualify anyone for regionals.

The Project Graduation Senior Ropin’ will be April 27th at the Paul and Sherrie Broyles arena. Bar-B-Que will be available for lunch.

Next week is TAKS test week. Basically, the 30th will be Math, May 1st will be Science, and May 2nd will be Social Studies. There are some other tests scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

May 7th, the Sophomores can take the Asset Test if they intend to take dual-credit classes next semester. This test is required before students can take college credit classes. Students must sign up for the test.

The Sports Banquet is May 9th at 6:30 at the Cherokee Home Pavillion.

Tuesday, May 13th, the Class of 2010 will be hosting a Variety Show and dinner. The dinner will consist of grilled pork chops, green beans, baked potato, rolls, cobbler with ice cream, and tea.

Tickets will be on sale soon. The cost of the dinner and show will be $8.00. Child’s plates of ½ portion will be $5.00. Admission to the program only will be $3.00. The event will begin at 6:30.
