Betsy Florene Lane Adams

Betsy Florene Lane Adams, 82, left this earth in the arms of angels to be with her Heavenly Father on February 20, 2010. She was born to Georgia and Russell Lane on March 28, 1927 in San Saba Co., TX. Betsy married John H. Adams in 1945 and made her home in San Antonio, TX. During her last 3 years she lived with caregivers, Janie Kelley & Shelia Norris, in the Conroe area. Known as Aunt Betsy to many, she was loved by all who knew and cared for her. She attended West Conroe Baptist Church and enjoyed many precious days at The Gathering Place and Friendship Center in Conroe. Betsy is preceded in death by her parents Georgia and Russell Lane; stepmother Lois Lane; husband John Adams; brothers Randall and Van Lane; and sisters Madie Ruth Kelley and Cly Del Howard; niece Patsy Howard, and nephew Glenn Lane.

Aunt Betsy is survived by one brother, Pat Lane; nieces Janie Kelley, Sharon Board, Dianne Moore, Vanessa Magnus, & Cindy Means; nephews Bill, Larry, & Leeman Kelley, Damon, Ron, David, James & John Lane, Bill Howard, their families, and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 26, 6-8 pm and services Feb. 27, 9 am at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, TX with Rev. Jay Gross officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Springs Cemetery in San Saba Co. at 4 pm. For those who prefer, donations can be made to West Conroe Baptist Church, 1855 Longmire Rd., Conroe, TX 77304 or The Gathering Place 7308 West Davis, Conroe, TX 77304.
