Annie Mae (Chadwick) Goldberg

Annie Mae (Chadwick) Goldberg, 89, of Bowser Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Annie Mae was born April 6, 1919 to Joel and Annie (Mills) Chadwick. Annie Mae graduated from Menard High School in 1938. In 1940, Annie joined the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corp. While stationed in South Dakota she met her husband, Isaac (Jerry) I. Goldberg. Jerry and Annie were married 49 years and 10 months during which time they traveled the globe while Jerry served his country as a member of the US Army. Upon retirement, Jerry and Annie made their home in New Braunfels, Texas. After Jerry’s death in 1993, Annie Mae returned to her family home in Bowser, Texas, where she lived until her death. Annie Mae was a member of the Church of Christ.

Annie Mae is survived by one sister, Jean (Chadwick) Stafford of Pipe Creek, Texas; her nephew, James Wyatt, Jr. and his wife Rhonda, of Bowser, Texas. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Annie (Mills) Chadwick; one infant son, Anthony Keith; five brothers, James, Bill, Clifford, Virgil and Douglas Chadwick; two sisters, Jewel Peavey and Edna Feist.

Funeral services were held at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be at a later date at The Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

The family request donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
