Shelby Hardy was named to the Dean’s List at Sam Houston State University for the 2009 Fall semester with a 3.76 GPA. To be named to the Dean’s List at Sam Houston State, a student must earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 while carrying a class load of at least 12 semester hours. Hardy is classified as a sophomore academically, but is a freshman student-athlete and a member of the Lady Bearkats Women’s Golf team. Shelby is seen in this picture, teeing off at the Elkins Lake Fall Golf Classic in Huntsville, where she finished 6th medalist with a 74-74 in the rain shortened Division I tournament last fall. Standing next to her is SHSU’s Women’s Golf Coach Tommy Chain. The Lady Bearkats were the runner-up to Central Arkansas at this tournament. SHSU begins it’s Spring season this week at the Koasati Pines Collegiate tournament in Kinder, Louisiana hosted by McNeese University.
