During the past several KPAS seasons, the local presenter of world-class performing arts has brought to Kerrville the big bands of Artie Shaw and Glenn Miller! Each event has offered an opportunity for the audience to re-live the Golden Era of the Big bands in an era filled with a tradition of music that can be enjoyed by everyone!

To expand this musical experience into a multi-dimensional production, the American Big Band Show will add singers and dancers to the standard big band format proving to be a colorful event filled with such favorites as Satin Doll, Stompin’ at the Savoy, In the Mood, and Goody Goody!

With bright, colorful costumes, dynamic choreography, dazzling scenery and unbelievable sound, the stage absolutely ignites from the opening downbeat! The sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and many more are sure to get you "In the Mood" with the very best of American Big Band.

The two performances, along with a student outreach program for over 800 students, are made possible through the generosity and support of James Avery, Busty & Amy Underwood, Arthur Bell, and The Hill Country Center for Cancer Care: Drs. Valerian Chyle, Jr., and David C. Jones. Hospitality for the company is being provided by Salada’s, Culligan Water, H-E-B, and YO Ranch Resort.
