Mike Cox, who has authored five books about the Texas Rangers, is coming to San Saba on Monday, February 22nd. He will speak at the Rylander Memorial Library beginning at 2:00 P.M. and then have a book signing.

Mike’s latest work, "The Time of the Rangers: The Texas Rangers, 1900 to Present," was published in mid-August. It is the companion to the earlier "The Texas Rangers: Wearing the Cinco Peso, 1821-1900". His other books on the Rangers were: "Texas Ranger Tales, Stories that Need Telling", its companion," More Texas Ranger Tales" and for young readers, "The Texas Rangers, Men of Action and Valor". He also wrote "Texas Disasters, True Stories of Tragedy and Survival".

He writes a syndicated weekly newspaper column called "Texas Tales" which focuses on interesting, little-known incidents in Texas history. It can be read on-line at TexasEscapes.com.

His byline regularly appears in a number of national and statewide magazines, including Texas Highways, Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine and Texas Sportsman.

Following Mr. Cox’s presentation, refreshments will be served by the Friends of the Library while you visit and have an opportunity to purchase books.
