Rumaldo J. Martinez, 71, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. He was born June 21, 1938, in San Saba County, Texas, the son of Doroteo Martinez and Socorro Jimenez.

He is survived by his wife, Emmalinda Martinez of San Saba, Texas; his son, Rumaldo Huron Martinez Jr. of San Saba, Texas; his three brothers, Abe Martinez of San Saba, Texas; Daniel J. Martinez and his wife Sue of Dekalb, Texas; and Phillip Martinez and his wife Juanita of Brownwood, Texas; one sister, Herminia Rojas and her husband David of San Saba, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and his sisters.

Services were held Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in San Saba, Texas.

Interment followed the ceremony at Big Valley Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
