Elo Raymond Henniger

Elo Raymond Henniger of Lampasas, age 98 years, 11 months, and 12 days, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010. He was born February 18, 1911, to Richard and Hedwig Henniger in Shelby, Austin County, Texas. Elo married Lillie Stammann in October, 1932. He was a farmer, rancher, and pecan grower in San Saba county for over 60 years.

He is survived by his only daughter, Lucille Underwood of Austin, and her fiancé Weymon Saul, three grandchildren, D’Ann Underwood Santos and husband Michael of Pflugerville, Michelle Underwood Jones and husband Butch of Denton, and Brian Underwood of Austin; three great-grandchildren, Mikey Santos, Kody Jones and Karley Jones; and very special friends, Bill and Jo Price of Bend and Bob Hanson of Round Rock.

Elo was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie, in 1982, shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba. Interment to follow at the Bend Methodist Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 6:00 P.M., also at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba. The family requests memorials be made to the Bend Methodist Church or the donor’s favorite charity.
