Emily Jo Linzey passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Austin. She was born July 1, 1927 in Lometa, Texas to the union of Ben Daniel and Oma Lee Coleman.

Jo married Homer Lee Linzey on May 4, 1946, in Lometa, Texas, and lived in San Saba, Texas for over 50 years. They were long term members of San Saba Methodist Church and active in the San Saba American Legion. She was a bookkeeper at the San Saba County Hospital for over 10 years. She and Homer loved to dance and drove across Texas for many years to dance to their favorite country music bands and entertainers.

Her loving family includes, son, David Glenn Linzey and his fiance' Lupia Cruz, and her daughter of Austin; two granddaughters, Jaimie Nicole Danek of Eddy, Texas, Nikki Jo Snyder of Austin, Texas; great-granddaughter, Laken Emily Danek of Austin; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Don Owens of Lampasas, Texas; sister-in-law, Margie Coleman of Midland, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Homer Lee Linzey; three brothers, James Coleman, Jack Coleman, and O.B. Coleman.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, January 30th at the Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa, Texas, under the direction of Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, with James Mosley officiating. Pallbearers were: Josh Smith, Jason Smith, Don Owens, Ron Myers, Cloise Graves and Frank Tomlinson.
