William C. Brown, 86, of Skidmore, passed away on December 9, 2009. He was born to James Webb Brown and Lena Estelle (Welch) Brown in Richland Springs, Texas on November 11, 1923. He was a member of Skidmore United Methodist Church.

William was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Frances Herzog Brown, and daughters, Betty Jo Schubert and Emma Lee Wilson. He is survived by daughters, Billie Jean Brown, Franny (George) Hudson, Rhonda (Gordon) Wallek of Skidmore, Texas and Joyce (Richard) Sherrer of St. Paul, Texas; sons, Joe (Robin) Schubert of Sinton, Texas and Dale (Teresa) Schubert of Skidmore, Texas; son-in-law, Buddy Wilson of Kingsville, Texas; sister, Margaret Meyers of Carmel Hills, California; brothers, Jack Brown of Dripping Springs, Texas and Joe Bob Brown of Sardis, Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Special thanks to his caregivers, Sara Trevino, Nora Garcia, and Nurses in Touch Hospice.

Funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Galloway & Sons Chapel.

Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore. Pallbearers were Allen Hudson, Jeffery Hudson, Brian Schubert, Justin Schubert, Billy Wilson, Colby Wallek, Tyler Wallek, Scotty Schubert, and Tony Martino. Honorary pallbearers were Courtney Hudson, Laura Smejkal, Brenda Schubert, Jarred Schubert, Chance Schmidt, Peter Martino, Michael Martino, David Sherrer, and Ronnie Wilson.
