Thomas Doyle Christian passed this life to be with his Lord on January 13, 2010.

Doyle was born March 18, 1942, in Port Arthur Texas. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High, he moved with his family to San Saba, and later received a BA from Southwest Texas State University in Math/Physics. After serving in the National Guard and Reserve, he became an engineer with Texas Instruments, and later taught school in Llano and Galena Park. Doyle enjoyed many interests, including piloting his own plane, cattle ranching, hunting, boating, and playing "42" with his family and friends. He was a member of the Lampasas Church of Christ where he found wonderful love and support. Although he dealt with many adversities in recent years, he was known for his winsome personality and sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Mary Christian, and an older brother, Charles Dale Christian. He is survived by his son Dale Christian and wife Jennifer of College Station, and their two daughters Natalie and Alana; a daughter Dr. Dawn Riordan and husband Shea of College Station, and their daughters Charlotte and Gillian; a brother, Jerry Christian and his wife Sheila of San Antonio; also special nephews and nieces: Bryan, Jason, Jonathan, and Sara and their families.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Cherokee Home for Children (PO Box 295, Cherokee TX 76832), or the charity of choice.

A Memorial Service was held at Lampasas Church of Christ, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 16.
