2 SAMUEL 6:6-7 "And when they came to Nacchon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the Ark of God, and took hold of it: for the oxen shook it. 7. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah: and God smote him there for his error: and there he died by the Ark of God."
The rather recent discovery of the mysterious Ark of God may prove to be of the greatest interest to all Bible scholars. I cannot force myself to condense it herein; because it is a subject of exciting content. The Bible relates that for 40 days and 40 nights, Moses sat before Almighty God on Mt. Siniah and received detailed instructions how to use and care for God's Ark and Tabernacle. The all powerful spirit of God was shown to exist in God's Ark, and when it was given it's proper place in the affairs of God's people, it always proved to bring great blessings for them. They dared make no decisions without the presence and help of God's Ark. They enjoyed victories in all their wars, even when greatly outnumbered when they put trust in the Spirit of the Ark. Both Biblical and profane history verifies how the Ark blessed the Israelites, and because of this; thousands of people have diligently sought to find it while it was thought to be lost for a while. Even vile and evil dictators have spent a lot of time and fortunes trying to find it with the belief it could bring them victories over their enemies like it did the Israelites in the past. History shows Adolph Hitler, Mussolini, and Saddam Hussein aggressively sought to find it for that reason. But it turned out to be a very sad happening when God's people actually turned from God and the power of His Ark. The great blessings they enjoyed fled from them when they rejected God's rule over them. They decided they wanted to have a king like other people did to rule over them. Your Bible clearly tells how God granted their desire and they chose a king who turned out to be very evil. It also mentions the Ark was not respected or used during the rein of that king, whose name was Saul, and God permitted him only a short rein. He was wounded in battle and committed suicide to prevent capture. Both of his sons were also killed in that battle; after which the people chose David, who had killed the giant and he faithfully served God during his rein. He was truly a man after God's own heart, and one of the first decisions he made was to bring God's Ark back to Israel to be worshipped Nationally. The scripture we chose for a text describes what happened during this return of the Ark. There has always been great mystery and power relating to circumstances concerning the existence of the Ark of God. For many years during the rein of King David and many Kings after him, the Ark was kept in the sacred room known as the Holy of Holiest in the tabernacle Moses had built for God. Then a Holiest of rooms was in the house of God that King Solomon built. Only the High Priest, alone was permitted to enter that room after rigid ceremonies of purification. A rope was always tied around the priest's a waist. He had bells around the bottom of his robe and if the bells stopped ringing the other priests knew he was not accepted by Almighty God and he had been killed, so they could pull him out. All of this is shown in your Bible and you should already know it. It is only mentioned to show more of the mystery of God's Ark. I have obtained some privileged information that many may not have, and I will share it here and tell you how you can find it for yourselves. The Ark of the covenant which is the Ark of God has been found and the authenticity of that fact is verified by the government of Israel. There is proof beyond doubt about it. It may be fact that God is - This Biblical Gem will be continued next week.
