Do I need to pre-register my entries for the Youth Fair? No. All you have to do is bring them on Thursday January 14

Does it cost to enter? No, thanks to some donors there is no charge.

What is a photo story? A group of several pictures related to the same topic, or tell a story. Some examples are: a day in the life of a cat, several pictures of sunsets, steps in making brownies or steps in making a model airplane?

How do I mount my entries for the photography category?

Mount on cardboard, posterboard or foam board.

What is a collage poster?

A piece of poster board that is completely covered with pictures (for example cats, your favorite football team’s pictures and articles or food)

What is a 3D poster? A poster that has length, width and depth. (for example: the poster is about Indians. Therefore it has feathers, a tepee, a piece of deer hide on it and shows a map of where the Indians lived.)

What is the difference between one dimensional and 3 dimensional in educational? An example of one dimensional would be a report of Jim Bowie, several poems written by several students put in a booklet, or a poster on the planets. Three dimensional examples would be a bridge built out of toothpicks, the Alamo built out of sugar cubes and a science experiment showing water erosion.

Can I enter a cheese cake? No food requiring refrigeration can be entered. The food would not be at top quality after sitting out for several hours before it is judged.

How should I display my food entry? The food needs to be covered with Saran, plastic wrap or the equivalent and placed on a non-breakable container like a paper plate or inexpensive plastic plate.

What is the difference between an individual or group? A group is more than one person. It could be a class like the Richland Springs 3

What size do my photography entries need to be? 8x10 or 5x7 inches.

Does it need to be framed? No. It should be mounted on cardboard, posterboard or foam. Framing is not considered when judging.

What is handwork? Knitting, crocheting or embroidery.

What is included in Home Interiors? Wall hangings, quilt, throw, curtains, pillow.
