Those having Christmas Dinner with Roddy and Barbara Maddox were Sally Hardin, Barbara and Robert Grimes, and Roman and Angela Maddox and Ross and Dean. Christmas night the family got together to open presents. Those present were Ricky and Chris Maddox with David, Mickey and Coney Hanley with Payton and Preston, Jason and Crystal Mendl, Roman and Angela Maddox with Ross Dean.

Anhelica Trinidad spent some time in South Carolina visiting family. Last weekend Lupe, Anhelica and Jose went to San Angelo to visit Lupe’s mother

and family.

Yvette Torres spent Christmas on a cruise! Perry and Karen Covington hosted several families for Christmas dinner. Wayland and Kandis Dobbs, Kasey Dobbs spent time in New Mexico during the holidays. Kasey’s fiancee Vance spent time in Cherokee last week end with the Dobbs.

Keri Davis and her parents, and Keri’s sister, Debbie, brother-in-law Jim and their children James and Alicia spent the holidays together in Cherokee.

Justin, Megan, Kenley and Ryan Cox spent time with Dan and Esther and Seth Cox last week-end.

Dale, DiAnne, Joseph, Cyndi,Victor, Carter and Hunter traveled to Round Mountain Christmas Eve to the home of Cecil Joe and Betty Scott for the annual gathering. There were 40 in attendence when the Big man in the red suit arrived. Hunter made a point of telling him thank you for the boots.

Christmas Day found the Scotts enjoying family again, only in Cherokee at their home. They were joined by Nazanin, Victor, Carter, and Hunter Wisdom; Ernest, and Joseph Scott also of Cherokee; Cyndi Lawhon of Cleburn; Mary Ann, Leonard, Cody, Anna, Megan, and William Oliver of Llano; Leonard Jr. and Karen Oliver of Austin. After a huge lunch all the young and not so young boys headed for the football field to work off all that food. It was a great day.

Tye Crain and Eric Soladay are in from Oakland California for the holidays. They also visited in Glenn Rose with Eric’s Grandmother. Franklin & Sandra Crain hosted "Crain Christmas Eve and Christmas Day". Enjoying the festivities were Tye Crain, Eric Soladay, Steve and Darline

Boultinghouse, Mozelle Boultinghouse, Cornelle Hedrick, Tom, Lynda and Kelli Shelton. Of course there was lots of gift exchanges, food and late night talking and laughing.

Tweny five years ago on January 1, Herman and I bought the Cherokee Grocery. The store and the people have been very good to me and my family. I want to
