Jack Hollis Sanderson

Jack Hollis Sanderson, 77, of Glen Flora, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas. He was born February 23, 1932 in San Saba, Texas, the son of William Mitchell Sanderson and Imogene Robbins. He was a retired rancher.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia Sanderson of Glen Flora, Texas; his son Quint Hollis Sanderson of Wharton, Texas; his daughters Kathy Sanderson-Baca and her husband Odie of Taylor, Texas, Leigh Ann Blair and her husband Cookie of Glen Flora, Texas; his grandchildren Joey Zulauf and his wife Tricia, and Jeannie Zulauf Alcalar and her husband Johnny; his great-grandchildren Blaine Zulauf, J.D. Alcalar, and Janene Alcalar; his brother Mack Sanderson and his wife Grace of San Saba; his sisters Pauline Stewart of San Saba and Jean Sanderson of Austin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one grandson John Hollis Zulauf, and by several brothers and sisters.

Services were held Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Terry Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Bowden officiating.

The family requests that memorials be made to the San Saba County EMS.
