Doug and Cyndi Suggs would like to thank all those in the community for stopping by their open house. It was the biggest crowd ever. If you missed this year plan to come by next year. It is always the first Sunday in December.

The Hill Country Toy Run was held last Saturday for the Children of Cherokee Home. If you heard lots of rumbling down town it was the motorcycles coming through. For the last 26 years they have been coming and bringing presents to the children of Cherokee Home for Children.

Don’t forget the Cherokee Basketball Tournament starts Thursday.

Doug and Cyndi Suggs and Valerie and Delton McGuire enjoyed an evening at Rock Box Theater in Fredericksburg last Thursday night.

Delton and Valerie McGuire spent Sunday in Granbury and then went to Salado Sunday evening. Valerie says they got there in time for her to do a little shopping.

Congratulations to Dustin and Rachel Keeney at the birth of their son, Casen Lee Keeney. Casen was born in Brownwood on Sunday, December 6, 2009. He weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces. Proud Great-Grandfather is John Ed Keeney.

Graveside services were held at Cherokee Cemetery for Margie Yates on Monday. We extend our sympathy to her family.

Suzanne Crum has been in the Llano Hospital. Willyn Zulauf is in the Llano Hospital.

Steve Norrel from Keller visited in Cherokee on Monday. His Father, Harold Norrel was the Preacher at the Church of Christ for many years.

Charles Perry and Roddy Maddox hunted in Pampa last week. They both returned home with a deer.
