Santa Claus to visit Richland Springs December 19th
Thursday, December 10, 2009 • Posted December 10, 2009

Our Main Street New Face organization is proud to present Christmas on Main Street, Saturday, December 19

th from 11:00-5:00 P.M.

We are so happy to have gotten a letter from the North Pole saying that Santa would be visiting our small city this year. The girls and boys have been so good this year in our area that Santa wanted to come and hear all their Christmas wishes. In honor of Santa’s visit the Main Street volunteers are going to make his visit special with pictures with Santa, food, live music, games and more.

As many of you may know we started the Richland Springs Main Street New Face Organization about 9 years ago. We wanted to have Christmas on our Main Street with festivities and Christmas decorations for the town. We were quite successful with fundraisers thanks to all the volunteers and kind people and businesses that donated items for silent auctions and cash donations. Your generosity has allowed the Main Street organization to decorate and light down town Richland Springs all these years. We all know that times are tuff but if you could find it in your heart this Christmas season to donate an item or items for our Christmas Silent Auction it would be greatly appreciated. If one of our volunteers comes to your business and asks for an item for auction please welcome them in the Christmas Spirit. This year Vicki Oubre as Chairperson and with help from Ruth Reeves and other kind volunteers want to make our town light up this Christmas and for many years to come, as it has for the last 9 years. Cash donations for the fund can be dropped off at Ruthie’s Décor & Gifts on Main Street or Rising Star Vineyards Winery at 301 Hwy 190.

We need volunteers to help Santa make this a special festive day on our Main Street for our children. This is a perfect way to give during this holiday season. We need folks to work Food Booths, set up games, ticket sales, setup tables & chairs, and donate cakes for a cake walk and other sweets for sale, and much more. Please help us by signing up as a volunteer at Ruthie’s or Rising Star Vineyards. Remember this is the 19th of December and we only have a little time left to prepare. No one has to do a lot if many will do a little.

Here are a few things we have planned for folks of all ages.

We will have Pictures with Santa, Live Music, Food, Vendors, games for the kids and much more.

Vendors welcome! Come and join us. We ask a $10 booth donation for the fund. Please call Vicki Oubre at 512-899-9882 or 512-461-4646 for information.

We will have live music scheduled thru out the day. Wonderful Christmas music for all to rejoice in. Please come, bring your children and families and enjoy a wonderful day on Richland Springs Main Street. Thank you all and Merry Christmas! HO HO HO!
