GENESIS 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
The Bible begins with this simple sentence, and all people should think seriously about creation and the CREATOR. We can believe this very first sentence of the Bible, but no person who has ever lived can understand and explain it. If God created the heaven and the earth in the beginning, it poses a disturbing question that no person can answer: despite the fact they might honestly say they believe it. That question is, did God exist before the beginning? Logic dictates He had to be if He created in the beginning. I cannot explain, but I believe He did exist before the beginning, and I will further add: I believe He will be after the ending, because we are taught He is eternal. But now let us consider the actual creation, wherein once again we cannot possibly explain the tremendous power and ability of an ALMIGHTY GOD. We are taught He spoke it into existence. Did the entire world come into being from what came out of GOD'S mouth? The mountains, the great expansion of prairies, deserts, rivers, small streams, great oceans, twinkling stars, a traveling moon, and a blazing sun? Yes, God is almighty. If you do not believe He did it, what do you believe? The existence of it all is clearly seen and cannot be denied; how else could it have gotten here? Spiritual faith is the only thing that can permit you to believe this, and that faith is not the ability to know what the future holds; but just know Who holds the future.
And now I want our attention focused on something I like to think about, discuss, and I hope share with all who care. How and why did God create man. First we have to know God did create the heaven and the earth before the creation of man can be accepted and appreciated. It may be thought it was a simple procedure for God to create man out of the dust and give him life. But we must understand the why God created man before we actually know what man is. After God created the heaven and earth, the Bible tells us he looked at it and declared it was good, very good. He was so proud of it He wanted someone to share it with and actually be His companion. That shows God has a nature of great love. That is the reason for man, and He had such wisdom, He realized because man is created in God's own image, he would also need someone to share life with; so after creating man, He did not create the woman, but made her from a part taken from man to give her to the man for a wife and companion. Thus they can share life together. Doctors could probably write a long interesting book showing what a great marvel the bodies men and women have. I cannot see the wonders of human bodies like a doctor, but I know they came to be by the power and ability of an Almighty God. And now let us consider the actual creation of man. If we believe the Bible we know God created him out of dust of the earth. Your imagination of that may be as good as any other. Did He scrape up a pile of dirt, put enough liquid in it to make a stiff mud and shape it into a human body? That is not important to me, but after God formed the body, He breathed into its nostrils the breath of life and it became a living soul. Then God gave that soul a spirit and that is what man is; a soul that lives in a body and has a spirit. God actually gave man a part of himself when He breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and he became a living soul. Try to visualize the tremendous unlimited power God had to have to do all of this.
