Margie Yates, 91, of Cherokee, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 in Hill Country Health Care in Llano, TX. She was born July 8, 1918, in Sutton County, Texas, the daughter of Jim Oliver Chadwick and Sara Sibyb Luckie. She was a retired Rancher.

Margie is survived by her son, Robert Yates and his wife, Pamela of Cherokee; her daughter, Jan Boultinghouse and her husband, K.R. of Cherokee; her grandchildren, Kenna Squires and her husband, Brad; Donny Boultinghouse and his wife, Marcie; Mack Yates, Bobby Yates, Bonnie Porch, Ike Morrison and his wife, Holly; Augustus Onsrud, and Katy Onsrud; her great-grandchildren, Dax and Zane Porch; Sarin Yates; James, Vernon, Jadean, River, Jean Boultinghouse, Shelby Squires, Landon Morrison; her brothers, Glenn Chadwick of Sonora, Texas; Aubery Chadwick and his wife, Pricella of Australia; her sisters, Nita Chadwick of Colorado; Barbara Cowger and her husband, George of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Donny Yates; her daughter, Margie Ann Yates; her brothers, Sam Chadwick, Nelson Chadwick, and her sisters, Velma Gauny, Jerrie Higgins, and Greta Cabot.

A graveside service was held Monday, December 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Cherokee Cemetery with Rev. Doug Suggs officiating.

Interment followed at the Cherokee Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Donors favorite charity.

Funeral Services under the direction of Howell-Doran Funeral Home.
