John Allen Yeater, 77, of Burnet, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009 in Rollins Brook Hospital in Lampasas, TX. He was born December 20, 1931, in Kenedy, Texas, the son of John Orville Yeater and Lorraine Gilley Yeater. John Allen Yeater and Glenda Miller were married on August 24, 1957 in Seguin, TX. He was a retired Police officer.

John Allen is survived by his wife, Glenda Yeater of Burnet; his son, John Yeater and his wife, Evelyn of Burnet; his daughters, Cindy Southall and her husband, L.T. of Santa Fe, TX.; Pam Soikowski and her husband, Ron of Burnet; Rachel Kreuel and her husband, David of San Antonio.

John Allen is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, George Yeater.

Services were held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Casper officiating.

Interment followed at Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home.
