JV Lady Dillos Report
Thursday, December 3, 2009 • Posted December 3, 2009

The JV Lady Dillos traveled to Harper last Tuesday night for our final game before heading into the Thanksgiving break. We ended up winning 30-25. We got off to a rough start, but did just enough to get a win on the road.

Joannah Crosby had a big first half by hitting 3 three-pointers. The post players struggled quite a bit in the first half because Harper was playing a zone defense and covering up our posts pretty well which allowed our guards to shoot some from the outside. As the second half rolled around, they decided to play a box and one on Joannah which allowed our post players to go one on one against theirs. They started stepping out to our guards which let the post players have some freedom down low.

Overall, it was a pretty good game. Like I told the girls, it wasn’t our best game of the year, but they

played hard and did what they had to do to win. I am very proud of these girls because they always give their best effort no matter what. Leading scorers for the night was Crosby with 17 points, following her was Hibler with 6 points, and Faught with 2 points.

We will return to action this week as we play Merkel Tuesday night at home. We travel to Ingram on Friday with play beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Thanks for all your support and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
