Nominations are now being accepted for the 2nd Annual San Saba Recognition Awards Banquet to be held on March 11, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the San Saba Civic Center. The theme of this year’s banquet is "Let’s Go To The Hop" and the public is invited to attend. These awards will recognize the efforts of individuals and companies that enhance and improve San Saba.

Man and Woman of the Year Awards:

This award recognizes the most outstanding Man and Woman for the year. They will be judged on their demonstrated positive leadership in enhancing and improving San Saba.

Heritage Award:

This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated positive, dynamic, selfless public-spirited leadership in enhancing and improving San Saba. This award is a Life Time Achievement Award and the award time frame is over a period of years.

Business of the Year:

This award recognizes a business that has for the past year led the way in enhancing and improving San Saba.

Visionary Award:

This award is presented by the awards committee and recognizes the dedication of an individual who possess extraordinary passion, creativity, leadership, vision, and imagination.

To place a nomination for the above awards:

1. Write a brief written summary of 500 words or less.

2. Mail your nomination to the San Saba News and Star at P. O. Box 815 San Saba, Texas 76877 or hand deliver it to the San Saba News and Star at 505 East Wallace San Saba, Texas 76877.

3. Entry’s must be received no later than February 1, 2010.

Judges will make their decision on the nomination and any other information available to them. The decision of the judges will be final.
