Fowler and Wright United in Holy Matrimony

Jessica Elaine Fowler and William Wesley Wright were united in Holy Matrimony on June 27, 2009 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Cistern, Texas, where the bride’s parents were married 31 years ago. The bride is the daughter of Don and Barbara Fowler of Richland Springs, and the groom is the son of Jim and Dora Wright of Menard. Grandmother of the bride is Marie Vinklarek of Cistern. Grandparents of the groom are Carl & Carolyn Kothmann, and Jean Wright, all of Menard.

The Reverend Joseph M. Hybner preformed the double ring ceremony with cousin of the groom, Valera Corbin, of Wylie, providing the traditional wedding music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless gown designed by David’s Bridal. The full length dress of dotted alencon lace was accented with a satin lacing in the back. Her fingertip veil, designed and made by her mother, was edged in pearls. The bride carried a bouquet of pink and maroon gerber daisies and maroon roses.

Maid of Honor was Bailey Wren, of Lexington, cousin of the bride and Matron of Honor was Britny Fowler, of Austin, sister-in-law of the bride. Other attendants included, Kayla Windham, Katy Lehmberg, Salah Smith, all of College Station and Kathy Mews, of Red Wing, MN, sister of the groom. The bridal attendants wore knee length dresses by Mori in Watermelon Pink. They carried nosegays of pink and maroon Gerber daisies and wore pearl necklaces with a watermelon colored stone in the center. The flower girl was Abby Teel, of Austin, cousin of the bride.

Best man was Aaron Kothmann, of College Station, cousin of the groom. Other groomsmen included Payden Newkirk of Menard, Bryce Klein, Stephen Peterson, Walter Stone, Blake Burns, all of College Station and Daniel Fowler, of Houston, brother of the bride. Ring Bearer was Layne Kimball, of Cistern, cousin of the bride. The groomsmen wore black tuxes by After Six with boutonnieres of maroon roses.

Ushers were Andrew Fowler, of Richland Springs, brother of the bride and Billy Bob Chabot, of College Station. Readers were Kelley Fowler, of Austin, brother of the bride and Matthew Soto, of College Station.

The reception was held in the SPJST Hall in Kovar, Texas. All enjoyed a barbeque meal complete with cakes for the bride and groom. With western music provided by Benny Fred Kothmann’s band, the guests danced the night away under draped tulle, twinkle lights, and the groom’s great grandmother’s crystal chandelier. The Bride and Goom danced their first dance to "I Do," sung by Aaron Kothmann. The bride’s dance with her father was to "You Look So Good in Love " and the groom danced with his mother to "Fräulein", a favorite song of the groom’s parents.

After honeymooning in Jamacia, the couple made their home in College Station. The bride is a 2006 graduate of Richland Springs high school and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M. She is working for Ingram, Wallis, and Company, an accounting firm in Bryan, Texas. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Menard High School and is completing his degree at Texas A&M. He is currently employed on a ranch in Navasota, Texas.
