LUKE 16:13 "No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and will despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." James 4:4 "Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

It is my opinion the above verses contain a very needful message for our community and the entire world. We have to know the world is becoming very, very wicked, and is surely grieving the Almighty God; Who could eliminate all the troubles it is causing, if people would turn back to Him: worship, praise, and give Him the respect He justly deserves. It is wise to show people need to turn back to Him, because it is a sad fact that all the terrible sins we hear in every news casts prove people are turning from Him to seek pleasures and things the world offers. This is a truth the apostle James could see thousands of years ago and spoke the great message we see in his scripture above.

Thousands and thousands of people are probably sincere in thinking because they go to church when convenient and call themselves Christians they are pleasing God. But what are most of them thinking and doing about all the sins that are exposed in constant news casts? It would be foolish to try to give attention to all the terrifying sins existing in today's living; but just a few will be given to remind us that friends of the world are enemies of God. Murder is so commonly seen it fails to horrify us anymore. Rape and adultery is becoming unnoticed it is so often seen. But now, let us look at all the troubles that are seen in our world and consider if it may be happening because of these sins. Do we realize it could all be taken away and we can again have complete peace and happiness if we will just turn back to God and permit Him to bless us like His past shows He wants to do. The greatest minds of the world are trying to solve these unwanted troubles, but it will be impossible for men to do it. God is the Only One that can. I am beginning to wonder if we will be wise enough to trust him to do it? This great tribulation of worldly trouble is clearly described in the end time of the world in our Bibles. It should be no surprise to us, and the worst is yet to come. We are spiritually blind if we cannot see what the Bible foretells and prepare for it. God was good enough to send Christ to be our example of how He wants us to live this temporary life of the flesh and blood. Because the world has not accepted Christ as their pattern to live their life; these worldly troubles have come, and will get worse in our short future. Do you believe these thoughts are what God wants the people of today to believe? Millions are seeking treasures and pleasures that make them to be friends of the world and enemies of God. The above text reads that we cannot serve two masters, (God and mammon). You cannot serve both, which will you choose?
