Wallace Creek Extension Education Club Met

The Wallace Creek Extension Club met Thursday, November 19th at the clubhouse.

Lynn Blankenship called the meeting to order. The roll call question was "What doctor are you thankful for?" Each member has a special doctor they are thankful for. The minutes were read and approved. Noma Fitzgerald gave the treasurer's report in the absence of Imogene Hawkins. The club and the Boy Scouts Troop 55 wishes to thank everyone for making the Sausage Wrap Sale, on November 14th, a big success.

Margie Osborn and Lynn gave the council report from their November 6th meeting. The council quilt is progressing.

Carol Littlefield, Mary Jane Dennis and Carolyn McDowell went to the district leadership meeting. At this meeting they won a prize, The TEEA Messenger, for each of the members of the county. The Wallace Creek Thanksgiving Dinner was announced for November 9th, and the Health Fair to be November 10th at the Civic Center.

The Thanksgiving Dinner on November 9th was a big success with fifty one present to enjoy the delicious meal and fellowship.

There will be no December meeting. The next meeting will be January 21st at 2 p.m. at the Rylander Library.

The meeting was adjourned.

The program was Show and Tell. Lynn Blankenship brought the quilt she had made.

Margie Osborn brought and discussed the Sugar Free sweeteners and flavorings to be used in coffee and tea.

Refreshments were served by Margie Osborn to Lynn Blankenship, Doris Cates and Noma Fitzgerald.
