Kathy McCarty, 60, of Dripping Springs, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1949 in Beaumont, the daughter of Charlie Barton Draper and Ida Durdin Draper. Kathy Draper and Ronnie Clyde McCarty were married in Dripping Springs on March 7, 1970. Kathy worked as a Mortgage Agent and attended the Baptist Church.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ronnie McCarty of Henly; her mother, Lucille Draper of Richland Springs; her son, Wayne McCarty of Henly; her daughter, Laura Jenkins and her husband, Lewis of Henly; her two grandchildren, Blake and Jadyn Jenkins; her brothers, Ted Draper and his wife, Pam of Johnson City, and Gary Draper and his wife, Elisa of Richland Springs; her sister, Charlene Lindsay and her husband, Gary of Richland Springs.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father.

Services were held Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Forrester and Rev. Barry Fikes officiating.

The family received friends at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 11th from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.

The family requests that memorials be made to The Friend Foundation or Our Daily Bread (512-894-0756) in Dripping Springs, M.D. Anderson Hospital, Richland Springs First Baptist Church or San Saba County Volunteer EMS.
