Armadillo Baseball Report
Thursday, April 17, 2008 • Posted April 17, 2008

This past week the JV Armadillos and the Varsity Armadillo baseball teams were in action.Tuesday the JV lost to Jim Ned 19-9, and the Varsity lost 11-6.The JV came back well at one point during the game, and played well at times. The Varsity was 5-0 early and then we self destructed, making way too many mistakes to beat anybody. I did put on a sliding demonstration that I am sure you all have heard about.

On Friday at Mill Pond Park in front of great crowds once again the JV played well losing 6-3 to Coleman. The Varsity got back on track beating Coleman 7-2, keeping us in 2nd place alone. Blake Lewis continued to pitch well, striking out 16 and our offense got going with Henry homering Hawk, Phillips, Haug staying hot and Sears and Pulatie getting going.

This week we had a big game against 3rd place Bangs on Tuesday (I hope that went well!) and we play here Friday against Early, another team chasing us. Hope to see you at the park.
