The President announced that the Senior Ladies Tournament has been changed from Squaw Valley to Corpus Chriti, Texas for the Spring Tournament.
Jo Ann Snow gave a great report on Bette Odom! Her surgery went well and she expects a full recovery. This was great news. Becky Hardin reported on Larry’s recent heart problems and it was good to see him on the links playing golf! How good is that! Bobbie Churchill is now working out at the new gym and seems to be improving. Anita Miles reported that she and Will lost their sweet little Anni after all her surgeries and tender loving care. She was 17 years old and that is way past the life span for a Shih-Tzu but the good news was Melinda Myles, her daughter, brought them a new puppy for their Christmas present and she is a little doll, a white Shih-Tzu with red tipped ears, named Holly Love.
The meeting adjourned for play with the Chair for November, Hattie Rogers, calling for a game of Mutt and Jeff (counting only the par threes and the par fives plus number 17 - less half your handicap).
First Place went to Hattie Rogers who also scored the Low Net for the day, Second Place to Sandee Hartley, and Third Place to Anita Miles. Kay Barclay scored the Low Gross for the day and scored a birdie. Janet Hoyt also scored a birdie. Kay also chipped in to split the pot with her mother, Dorothy Sterner, and Sandee Hartley who also chipped in.
It was a beautiful day on the links! You’re missing out by not being with your friends on that San Saba River Golf Course - “swinging!”
