We received no rain in the thunderstorm that came in last Thursday night. All the vegetation and trees are pretty and green.

There were 7 members present for the busy Bee quilting last Tuesday. They were Irene Hammett, Grace Hardman, Fay and Gloria Lusty, Carol Orr, Marilyn Miller and Babe Edwards. The ladies worked on a quilt for Gloria Lusty and she will bring it back again next month.

Remember the community meeting Saturday night. Hostesses will be JoLynn Tharp and Valerie Gossett. Plans will be made for May picnic.

Marilyn Suber was a guest of Georgia Tucker and the rest of her kindergarten class as they went on a field trip to Sweet Berry Strawberry Farms in Marble Falls on Monday. Amy and Jesse Tucker also went along and they all had a very good day. The strawberries had almost been picked clean over the weekend and they were told the best days for picking were Wednesday and Thursday, in case you would like to go.

Hannah Parson turned 4 years old last week and we all helped her celebrate at her house on Saturday. Those attending were, Marilyn and Bethany Suber, Andy Cummings, Aldris Parson, Jesse and Georgia Tucker, Irene Cummings, Ken, Lanell and Kelton Parson as well as the honoree. Big brother,Theron, had to work and he missed the party. On our way to the party, we noticed the words “Congratulations Theron Parson” on the marquee in front of Bangs high school. He was recognized for being chosen to play in the FCA classic football game in June. Rex, Amy and Jaxon Tucker came late for Hannah’s party since Jaxon was entered in the 4-H shooting competition at Lake Brownwood. He brought home a third place trophy of which he was very proud. Yes, there I go bragging on those grandkids again!

There is bound to be some more news from Elm Grove folks. I sure would appreciate a call from you to let me know.
