Halley Curtis Jernigan Jr., 73, of Burnet, passed away Monday, April 7th. He was born in Brown County on December 15, 1934, to Halley Curtis and Willie Eloise (Kennedy) Jernigan. Curtis was a former resident of Richland Springs.

Curtis is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Granato; sons, Terry Jernigan and Lee Curtis Jernigan; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Faye Roten, Mary Beth Stephens, and Billie Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, James Edward Jernigan.

A memorial service for Curtis was held Saturday, April 12th at the Silver Creek Baptist Church in Burnet.
