Walter H. Smith

Walter H. Smith, 85, passed away Monday, April 7, 2008, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Walter was born September 21, 1922, in Moulton, to Cora and Walter E. Smith. He attended Tarleton State and Texas A&M. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during World War II as a radar technician. He retired from Convair/General Dynamics after 37 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Melva, in 2002.

Survivors include: sons, Wayne Smith and Steven Smith; daughter, Connie Smith Tindell; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Joshua, Courtney, Bethany and Emily; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 11th at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Mount Olivet Funeral Home, 2301 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth, Texas.
