Katherine "Kathy" Carriger

Katherine "Kathy" Carriger, 68, of Brady, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008 in Brady. She was born in Travis County on July 17, 1939 to Frances Napolean and Lorine (Brougher) Burt. Kathy and John Henry Carriger Jr. were married in Junction, Texas on September 5, 1959. She was a homemaker.

Kathy is survived by her husband, John Henry Carriger, Jr. of Brady; one daughter, Kitty Bratton and husband, Don, of Rochelle; three grandchildren: Brayla Roberts and husband, Patrick, of Brady; and Brezin and Bronco Bratton, both of Rochelle; two step-children: Amanda Chacon and husband, Tony, of Lubbock; and Travis Bratton and wife, Megan, of Lubbock; three great-grandchildren: Aiden Roberts of Brady; Mia Chacon of Lubbock; and Jordan Bratton of Lubbock; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Murr and Clayton of Segovia; three brother-in-laws: Harvey Carriger of Menard; Homert Carriger and Danielle of Comanche; and Gary Carriger and Janice of Corpus Christi; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large support of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Roger Sidener officiating. Burial followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Heritage Funeral Homes in Brady, Texas.
