The Keep San Saba Beautiful Commission announces a clean up day, “Fall Trash Bash, for Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The Keep San Saba Beautiful Commission is an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful.

All groups, individuals and organizations in the city/county are invited to meet at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, November 14th at the County Courthouse. The first 100 volunteers to sign up are guaranteed an original “Fall Trash Bash” t-shirt. Areas in town which need cleaning or improvement will be identified and teams sent out to those areas.

Even if you are unable to participate in the actual work, your help can be used in other ways. We need volunteers to hand out assignments, water, refreshments and other duties as needed. Following the clean up, teams will return to the Courthouse at noon for lunch.

The transfer site will also be open from 8-12 noon to accept household trash (no hazardous waste, tires, building materials, etc.) free of charge. This is a great opportunity to clean up around your house and get rid of those items that have been sitting around gathering dust.
