Naoma Smithhart

Naoma Smithhart, 89, of San Saba, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at a local care facility. She was born October 31, 1919 in San Saba, Texas, the daughter of Earl McCarley and Euphie Feazel McCarley. Naoma McCarley and George Smithhart were married in San Saba on December 24, 1935. She was a Beautician. She attended the Parkview Baptist Church.

Naoma is survived by her sons, Thomas Smithhart and his wife, Sheila of Bend; Owen Smithhart of Granbury; Dean Smithhart and his wife, Susie of Weatherford; her grandchildren, Thomas Smithhart Jr. and his wife, Pattie; Brenda Wilde and her husband, Ralph; Judy Smithhart, Donna Smithhart, Michael McLaughlin, Shane Smithhart and his wife; her great-grandchildren, Kody Wilde and his wife, Morgan; Kendall Wilde, Garrett Smithhart, Gavin Smithhart, Lauren Smithhart, Matthew Holcomb; her great-great grandchildren, Charlee Grace Wilde, Jack Thomas-Anthony Wilde and her sister, Earlene McCarly Poole of TX.

Naoma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Gene Smithhart; and one brother, Thomas McCarly.

Services were held at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:00 am with Rev. George McHorse Officiating. Interment followed at Wallace Creek Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Wallace Creek Cemetery Association.
