Thursday, April 10, 2008 • Posted April 10, 2008

San Saba High School’s One Act Play went to Zone competition on March 26 in Coleman to perform this year’s play Dearly Departed.

The group advanced from that competition with several individual honors.

Tyler Lackey and Morgan Mixon were named to Honorable mention all star cast. Brittany Glaze and Yesenia Saldivar were named to the All Star Cast. Jimma Hicks received the tech award.

Chad Whitely was honored for the second year in a row with Best Actor at Zone.

On March 29th the group traveled back to Coleman. The students had an outstanding performance and the competition was equally impressive. Wall and Ballinger were selected to advance. Needless to say, the group was disappointed, but Mrs. Chambers, the group’s director, was certainly not disappointed in the great show the kids put on Saturday—it was incredible.

Students did receive individual honors at district.

Tyler Lackey and Brittany Glaze were named to the Honorable Mention All Star Cast.

Yesenia Saldivar and Laken Miller were named to the All Star Cast and Josh Trujillo received the tech award.
